Shipping & Delivery Policy

Last updated: Last updated: March 1, 2025

GlobalSourcing coordinates international freight logistics for B2B procurement orders. As a platform intermediary, we work with certified freight forwarders and logistics partners to ensure your goods move efficiently from factory floor to final destination.

1. Our Role in Shipping

GlobalSourcing does not operate its own fleet or warehouses. Instead, we coordinate with a vetted network of freight forwarders, customs brokers, and last-mile carriers. We manage the logistics workflow on your behalf, providing real-time tracking and proactive communication throughout the shipping journey.

2. Shipping Zones & Coverage

We currently support shipments from and to the following regions:

Asia-Pacific China, Vietnam, India, Bangladesh, South Korea, Taiwan
Europe All EU countries, United Kingdom, Turkey, Morocco
Middle East & Africa UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, South Africa, Nigeria
Americas United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia

3. Estimated Delivery Times

Transit times vary by origin, destination, and shipping mode selected. The following are standard estimates:

Shipping Mode Estimated Timeline
Sea Freight 15–45 business days
Air Freight 3–7 business days
Road Freight 5–20 business days

* Note: These are estimated transit times from departure port/airport. Production lead time is separate and agreed upon in your RFQ.

4. Shipping Costs

Freight costs are calculated based on shipment volume, weight, origin-destination pair, and chosen shipping mode. Costs are provided as part of your supplier quotation and confirmed before order placement.

  • Sea freight: quoted per CBM (cubic meter) or per container (FCL/LCL).
  • Air freight: quoted per kilogram (chargeable weight).
  • Road freight: quoted per load or per pallet depending on volume.
  • Insurance coverage is available at an additional cost and is recommended for high-value shipments.

5. Customs & Import Duties

The buyer is responsible for all customs duties, import taxes, VAT, and other government-imposed fees applicable in the destination country. GlobalSourcing can assist with customs documentation preparation and connect you with licensed customs brokers, but ultimate responsibility for compliance rests with the importer of record.

Important Notice

Important: Customs regulations and duty rates vary significantly by country and product category. We strongly recommend consulting a customs specialist before placing large orders.

6. Delays & Force Majeure

While we strive to meet all committed delivery timelines, certain events beyond our control may cause delays:

  • Port congestion, vessel schedule changes, or adverse weather conditions affecting sea freight.
  • Customs holds, document discrepancies, or regulatory inspections at origin or destination.
  • Force majeure events including natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, or civil unrest.
